I wanted to read something that was humorous, but nonfiction, preferably short stories. Apparently this is hard to find. This author had a good reputation and the book had good reviews so I read it. I guess I should have taken more warning from the title, because I didn't really want to read a book about having a wedding, or getting used to married life. But that's pretty much what I got. I really liked the first few stories though. At some point the author insulted people who live in Casa Grande, which I found almost funny, but more so offensive (what sort of insult is 'diabetic'? I assume that would be just another way of calling someone fat, but since the author confesses to being fat, why would this be a good insult?)
